Lance is responsible for leading the cyber and information security program at Denmark’s largest bank, which also has a substantial presence in Northern Ireland. A geek at heart, he began his career in IT but quickly focused on security – which, as he came to learn, is not actually an IT domain, even if there is significant overlap between the two. He has been employed by a Fortune 100 U.S. life sciences company, advised almost all of Switzerland’s top 20 largest companies as a security consultant with Deloitte, served as a divisional CISO with Switzerland’s second largest bank, and took the helm of Danske Bank’s cyber security function in January of this year. Lance holds a B.S. in Telecommunications and Networking from Purdue University in the U.S. as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. He speaks three and a half languages, though his Spanish has atrophied and his German will likely be supplanted by Danish soon.
