With 25 years’ experience in public sector people management, Ann Marie McSorley is a training industry expert. Having managed numerous award-winning Peace and Reconciliation projects with both Omagh and Dungannon District Councils, she went on to become Commercial Director of the £1million Odyssey Arena event, NIIHS, in 2006 and 2007. In the interim Ann Marie has developed a successful training business, with contracts with The Ombudsman for Children, The Oireachtas, Skillnets and EU funded partnerships. Throughout her career, mandatory boxes of paperwork were a huge frustration, she knew the value of the information held within, but no one had time to collate it. 3 years ago, Ann Marie won Google Adopt a Start-up, for her platform, Veri, which digitises mandatory compliance paperwork around training and funded programmes. She now runs Fioru Software Solutions with clients in NI and ROI, such as: •Fermanagh and Omagh District Council •Irish Red Cross •Irish Wheelchair Association •National Learning Network The company won this year’s Irish Institute of Training and Development’s Best Consultancy Partnership Award and has been a member of Tech Ireland since the outset.
